I understand this might seem unusual, but there are ways to remove and reset your laptop's hard drive. Since you don’t have an installation disk, you can follow a step-by-step process using tools like Disk Cleanup or a recovery utility. Just be sure to back up any important data before proceeding.

Avoid backing up files—start the Windows install from boot, select custom formatting, then erase old partitions. For data retention, duplicate everything to a USB or another storage device before proceeding.

We'll reinstall Windows. You'll be prompted about keeping your files, so choose whether to reinstall entirely or use the partition wizard to reformat the disk before starting again.

It's running Windows 7, 8, or 10. You can create an installation disk with a tool from the official Windows site, provided you have an extra 8GB USB drive.

The tools you’re familiar with will duplicate the whole partition and compress it. After reinstalling, the same issues will return to the original location. Someone else is debating a Windows reset right now—this would reinstall the OS and erase everything else. It’s unclear how well this works, but it might be worth a try.

It means restarting Windows completely, which can erase all your data unless you back it up first.

During setup, Windows disappears once you remove the partitions. Just watch the tutorial carefully and you’ll have everything you need.

I was thinking about tools that enable copying the operating system and all files across different storage devices. If someone employed such a program, it wouldn't achieve their intended outcome. That’s what I first meant.

You can format the drive using Diskpart or Disk Manager without needing any third-party tools. Next, reinstalling Windows should be done by using the Windows Reset feature, which will erase everything and install the operating system again over the current setup.
