You can connect your Windows 10 Pro N MAK edition to your Microsoft account and activate it on a new build.

Unlikely because a MAK key needs a volume license deal, meaning it can't be linked to a personal Microsoft account.

Eigenvector, you're wondering if the command prompt and volume activation tool is mistaking my key because it's tied to my MS account. It seems your PC started as an older Dell model, and when you tried to upgrade to Windows 10, someone at Dell provided a key instead of the original OEM one. They also gave you an upgrade to the Pro N version from Home Basic.

The information suggests this product isn't meant for individual users. The references to Volume Licensing, activation limits, and an activation server point toward a business environment rather than personal ownership. It seems the key is tied to company accounts and likely restricted for internal use only. If you received it from a colleague, handling it outside of official channels could raise concerns.
