Skyrim is currently on sale, and the price is appealing. I’m not very experienced with modding games, so I’m curious if it’s possible to modify the physical version. Any guidance would be really helpful.

However, certain modifications could rely on specific game versions, which seems more related to older titles launching on Steam rather than recent releases.

You're asking about what counts as a "particular version." It could refer to the main release and its special edition, or it might include digital and physical formats.

The game received updates at various points throughout its existence, regardless of the version.

Skyrim for PC is consistently checked via Steam, which means you can customize it using Nexus Mod Manager and through the Steam Workshop.

I understand you're referring to the transition from physical to digital media, like Morrowind's past problems before it was improved.

I already have it on Steam, but this would be for situations where I can't connect to it. Regarding your question, it's about $20 after shipping.

Even if it's a printed version? (Please let me know if I'm not grasping or missing anything.)
