Hello everyone, I searched for this information but didn’t find a clear solution online. I’m wondering if it’s possible to install a copy of Windows 11 Pro temporarily without a license. I plan to purchase a valid key on November 3rd, and so far I have everything else needed to get the PC up and running except the Windows key. While most features won’t work without it, can I use it for a short period before buying? Thanks in advance for any guidance.
You can operate it continuously without needing the key. Vista was the final Windows release to restrict access after 30 days if you didn’t activate it. Once activated, you won’t be able to switch to dark mode or modify your desktop background, but all other functions remain fully usable.
With Windows 10 you can install without using the key. Activation is still needed, but the system will keep running even if unactivated. You’ll see a watermark on the screen reminding you to activate.
