I purchased a new water cooler featuring a 2x4 pin RGB fan and a water pump. My motherboard only has one system fan port and one chassis fan port. I searched for a compatible 4-pin connector and discovered the 12V RGB header, which is also 4 pins. Can I connect a fan or pump to that header? Otherwise, I might need to use just one fan from my existing cooler.

Find the instructions on where to connect it in your manual. Also, it would be useful to know the specific motherboard and cooler you’re using.

RGB headers differ from fan headers. For additional fan headers, consider options like this: Cable Matters 2-Pack 2 Way 4 Pin PWM Fan Splitter Cable - 4 Inches https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DV1Z0Z4/ref...UTF8&psc=1

I understand, but since a holiday is approaching in my country, the package might arrive later than expected.

The motherboard is the Asus H610M-K D4 cooler, though it's a bit off-brand. The Aigo AG SE 240mm is the case.

Yes, you can use another brand controller as long as the fans match the same voltage. It’s okay if they’re compatible, even if you’re new to building.

Are you referring to a different brand controller? Could you clarify which one you mean? While all PC fans follow standard specifications, some brands offer unique features.

The fan controller you have uses six-pin connectors, while the water cooler fans require four pins. You should check compatibility or use a different adapter.

No fans are 6 pin… possibly there are two 3 pin headers. If you have a fan controller, connect it to the CPU fan so fans are managed by CPU temperature. For the pump, attach it to the system fan or power fan as your motherboard specifies.
