You can run your existing games from another drive without reinstalling them. Just transfer the game files from the WD Blue 1TB to the SSD, and you should be able to play them directly.

It seems unclear why this wouldn't function. You use Windows and often run popular apps on your SSD, while storing your games and other files on your HDD.

Are you asking if Steam isn't recognizing games as installed? You'll have to do that. Pick the directory where your games used to be, and Steam should automatically identify them. Restarting Steam might be necessary for it to detect them.
