That's understandable! But your Minecraft is still running fine.

This user adjusted several configurations but still experienced lag. Performance remains sluggish even after extended use, similar to loading times in mountainous areas. Running Minecraft 1.8 on a netbook with an Intel Atom processor provided around 12 FPS, especially when playing multiplayer. The CPU handles complex tasks like terrain generation and AI, but the graphics card plays a minor role. It’s unclear which benchmark site is most reliable. You might want to reduce settings to observe improvements.

You notice lower frame rates around 60-70 fps on your GTX 960 with an i5, especially when using OptiFine. It seems others with similar hardware achieve much higher FPS by tweaking settings or using different drivers.
