Yes, infact - I've spent most of yesterday's evening modding the game, adjusting all the visual settings and stuff. LOD mod doesn't work for me since shared resouces mod isn't compatible with some of the other mods and the game fails to boot.. I've installed the mod you suggested and performance hit is quite noticable. I noticed that extreme settings (maxed out all the was, there are supreme and ultimate options also) don't improve visuals at all because the resolution isn't big enough. You'd need 4k monitor to take advantage of that. Render distance isn't improved for the buildings and such, but trees and other foliage get an improvement here. Combine higher than ultra settings with higher FOV mod (field of view) and you've got a serious performance hit. 40-50% and up. Grass density is quite fine at ultra since everything above that tanks the framerate to the point where it's not worth it. There are some extra options that don't really matter all that much, but the mod works all around. I recommend it if the gpu runs 60fps no problem on ultra. So in my case, gtx 1070 is barely powerfull enough to run this mod at 1440p. But then again, you don't get the benefit of higher res textures and render distance, shadow quality and such at lower resolutions. This mod is mainly meant for gtx 1080 and higher. There is no single or dual gpu solutions on the market right now that could push 60fps+ when you max everything out at 4k. my 1070 does 35-45maxed out at 1440p, 1080 would get somewhere around 40-55+ .. 2x1080ti somewhere around 80-100 maybe.. but 4k is double the amount of pixels, so kiss 60fps goodbye. This is just speculation based on specs of these gpus, but the mod is OP. That's mainly my point. Not recommended for anything lower than 1070 or maxwell equivalent.
