The issue is the modem is about three rooms away from my room.

WiFi isn't functioning properly. Excessive walls are causing issues. Consider using an outdoor Ethernet connection—there were gaps in my walls that helped, but you could drill holes. If drilling isn't possible, lay the cable indoors near doors and corners carefully; it's nearly invisible when done correctly.

Powerline could be a viable option too.

We’ll connect it via your entrance? Let’s hope the door stays shut. Bring the PC nearer for better WiFi or place the router nearby for stronger signal. Avoid both options—consider a WiFi extender or an extra router.

You can lay the cable outside (it needs a hole). Secure it firmly along the door frame so the door can close—maybe sand the door slightly if needed. Also, we confirmed Wi-Fi won’t function because it’s too far away.

Yes, you can use a router that supports both Wi-Fi and Ethernet connections. Connect the Ethernet cable directly to the router for a stable wired link while still enjoying wireless access.

Ethernet wires work well beneath doors and through tight spaces. At home, you can hide the cable behind the carpet, though it’s not necessary.
