Hi, I’ve received all components and assembled them onto the motherboard for testing outside the case. Despite this, no display output appears from my GPU. Here’s what I have so far:
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz, 8-core
- CPU cooler: Thermalright Phantom Spirit 66.17 CFM
- Motherboard: MSI MAG B650M MORTAR WIFI (AM5)
- RAM: TEAMGROUP T-Create Expert, 32 GB (2×16 GB), DDR5-6000 CL30
- Storage: Crucial T500, 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVMe SSD
- GPU: Asus DUAL OC GeForce RTX 4070 SUPER, 12 GB VRAM
- Power supply: SeaSonic FOCUS GX-750 ATX, 750 W, 80+ Gold certified
Testing shows:
- Connecting the monitor via onboard HDMI works fine; BIOS lists RAM, CPU, SSD correctly.
- When I connect the display to the GPU, fans spin up but all debug LEDs fade out. System fails to boot and no output appears even after switching to onboard HDMI.
- Updated motherboard BIOS to version 7D76vAE.
- Tried all GPU display ports (HDMI, etc.) and cleared CMOS.
- Verified BIOS supports PCIE graphics with a known working RTX 2060 from another machine.
Any advice or troubleshooting steps you recommend would be greatly appreciated.
