No visual output from the 14th generation Intel CPU motherboard
Hi, Today I build a computer with the following specs: -I7 14700kf -RTX 4060 - ASUS PRIME B760-PLUS D4 When starting the PC it won't give me any display output. Not through the motherboard and not through the GPU. I suspect the motherboard doens't have the right bios update. How can I update the motherboard bios without display output? Kind regards, WIllem
Certainly! Here’s a detailed overview of the PC specifications:
- Processor: 14700KF
- Integrated Graphics: No integrated GPU (IGPU)
- CPU Features: Intel processors ending with 'F'
- Motherboard Requirements: BIOS version minimum 1205 for compatibility
- Motherboard Notes: Older BIOS versions may cause issues; consider an older model if needed
- Power Supply: Full power supply included
- Connectivity: Check for loose cables or peripherals
- GPU Considerations: Available for testing in another system
- Additional Tips: You can upload photos for review and ensure all components are secure
Your system features the i7-14700KF with no integrated graphics because of its F suffix. Here are the remaining specifications.
This seems like an initial suggestion. It appears your motherboard isn't compatible with BIOS flashback, meaning you can't just update it without a suitable CPU installed. You'll need to purchase or borrow a reasonably used 12th or 13th generation processor and use it to boot the board before updating its firmware to support your 14700kf chip. Likely options include a Pentium G7400 or a Celeron G6900. There might be a nearby shop that can assist you with this process.
