Ive got this 9700K and together with my motherboard (H310CM-DVS) I get no display. I got the latest bios which should support the 9700K. The cpu also gets warm. When I change nothing and put my 8600K it boots no problem. Have tried multiple things like cmos and single ram. CPU dead?!

I tend to think the $60 motherboard is the main problem rather than the CPU itself.

It seems the processor has stopped working if you follow all the steps I suggest.

I understand the motherboard isn't ideal, but it should still get started. After a few moments, nothing happens. The CPU heats up and the fan kicks in. However, the keyboard and Ethernet indicators remain off.

We determine if the CPU heats up by monitoring its temperature readings. Running it without a cooling solution can increase the heat buildup.

I halt the fan and notice the base of the heatsink, which releases some warmth

I acquired it used. I just received another board with debug information. It displays 29 and occasionally 2C, which leads me to think the memory controller might be faulty on the chip.

The issue lies with the processor.
