After my previous experience with XMP enabling and losing the ability to restore, I purchased a brand-new identical motherboard. Now I’m facing no video signal on my display. System details: MB – Gigabyte Aorus B550i PRO AX (mini-ITX), CPU – Ryzen 5 5600X, RAM – Corsair Vengaence 2x8GB, PSU – CoolerMaster 850W SFX Gold, GPU – MSI Suprim X 3090 24GB (via riser), Case – NR200P Max. I attempted several fixes: swapping RAM slots (only two slots available), testing each slot in both positions, updating BIOS with Q-FLASH Plus to the latest version, resetting BIOS via reset pins on the motherboard, and trying the GPU without a riser. I observed two distinct startup behaviors: one where the PC would power on in a loop with coolers fluctuating, and another where it would shut down immediately after pressing the power-off button. It’s unclear what caused these variations, but possible factors include an incorrect M2 SSD installation, missing connections or cables, or faulty RAM. I’m considering replacing the RAM or trying a new one. P.S. I don’t have friends or anyone with PC parts to test on, so buying seems like the only option. P.S.s) As mentioned earlier, I’m confident about the PSU and GPU, which functioned perfectly before the swap (the GPU was even tested in service).
I replaced my M2 SSD and everything is functioning properly now. Probably just a minor issue, though I switched only that part. It’s still unclear why this would impact the video signal.
It might have been a slight voltage issue causing the connection to fail, and you resolved it by repositioning it—possibly through minor shocks or unexpected forces like certain devices. In the end, everything worked out. Good news! But there are some people who just can't accept the fix.
