I experienced an unexpected crash followed by a reboot. After restarting, the screen displayed BIOS information and then automatically started Windows Diagnostics. It entered a repetitive cycle (reboot → diagnostics → reboot). My troubleshooting steps included: removing all disks and installing a new one, updating Windows, rebooting, and checking for video output. I also swapped GPUs, replaced RAM, tested different PCI-e slots, removed and readded the CMOS battery, and switched GPU bios. What do you think is the issue? Any further actions to consider? Thank you.

Did you experiment with another power supply cable for the GPU?

Certainly! Here is a revised version of your phrase:

Yes, identical outcome.

How long have you been using this PC? The PSU seems insufficient for peak demand in your setup. You should consider a 750W or higher unit. At first look, PowerColor appears to behave similarly to its intended function, but it stopped working within a day after the warranty expired. Another possibility is a dead CMOS battery, which can only maintain around 2.8V from the original 3.2V if it functions at all.

I purchased all components except the CPU in late 2019. The GPU frequently caused issues, mainly driver-related, though not severely. Some recommend replacing the motherboard. I plan to test a fresh CMOS battery.

Changed to an older CPU model and it’s functioning properly now.

Likely requires an updated BIOS for the latest CPU model.

I had just installed the newest BIOS version and kept the 5800x3D running nonstop for a whole week before it failed.

PSU performance is limited during setup. Have you thought about memory compatibility in terms of speed? From the AMD website for the Ryzen 7 5800X 3D: 2x1R DDR4-3200, 2x2R DDR4-3200, 4x1R DDR4-2933, 4x2R DDR4-2667.
