cs go is currently discounted on Steam. I haven’t played any CS games before, but recently I noticed that only CS GO remains popular among multiplayer players. I used to play COD until Battlefield 4 arrived, after which I shifted to that genre. Nowadays I enjoy GTA V. It’s a holiday time, and I’m free—should I still try CS GO if I’ve never played it? Can you explain its main goal? Is it similar to TDM or something like finding a bomb? I don’t want to spend months learning it and risk losing interest because everyone seems to switch to newer games.

its huge and no nothing new coming any time soon, and your skills will still be worth a lot if or when the next one comes.. and considering the amount of people playing the old 1.6 version still

If you want a toxic playerbase then it isn't too late.

Remember, as a friend of mine recently began studying CS, you might face challenges. Many CSGO players have been active since the early days, which can be tough for newcomers. But with practice, you’ll get better. Just keep in mind you shouldn’t just rush into combat without preparation, and you’ll be okay as long as you learn the basics.

I began a few months back, mostly on weekends. I have 155 hours to work with and am a Gold Nova. At first things feel tough, but I reminded myself (like my friends who are in the same spot) that practice makes progress. Studying many tutorials and playing a lot will help you reach average or better performance.

That demo dates back to around 2013, possibly a bit outdated with the CZ Nerf and M4A4 features.

The game attracted 9 million distinct players last month. Its continued presence in Steam’s top 20 and its steady climb to the top 10 over the past years suggest it won’t fade anytime soon. Meanwhile, the esports community around GO is expanding rapidly, which means the player base will likely grow further in the coming six months.

That's what I was considering about CS1.6 around 13 years ago. Now I'm here, having spent thousands of hours on CS1.6 and CS:GO!
