I just upgraded my parents' Windows 10 PC with a Ryzen 5 4600G and new RAM and motherboard. The first boot showed an error about the CPU installation. I tried resetting the fTPM/PSP NV, but it kept saying the system couldn't boot without a recovery key. I checked for BitLocker and encryption, but they weren’t active. Pressing Y would reset the fTPM, but it might delete some files. I followed the instructions from the provided link to help resolve the issue.

This doesn't delete any files or change anything else. It only affects drives with BitLocker enabled. If it's active, you'll need to enter the encryption key manually at startup, or your drive will stay encrypted and inaccessible. If you don't have BitLocker, just press Y to ignore the warning.

It could have been turned on by default, so it's wise to verify this before he runs out of a recovery key.
