Yes, it's feasible to run at 1866Hz on the Hyper X Fury with an i5-3470. The specs suggest a solid upgrade potential, especially with the A400 SSD and USB3 support.

Probable, though uncertain. Boosting memory speed relies significantly on the motherboard, which isn't necessarily a high-end model. While some 3rd generation Core boards can reach 1600, higher speeds aren't guaranteed beyond that point.

The documentation confirms compatibility. It features two DIMMs, up to 16GB storage, DDR3 memory rated at 2200, 2133, 2000, 1866, 1600/1336 MHz speeds, non-ECC, and un-buffered dual-channel architecture.

The only way to see if the IMC, board, and actual kit can manage it is by testing.

Typically Z MBS are preferred, though you can give it a shot. I used a 16GB 1600MHz CL10 kit with my i5 3550 on a Z77X D3H MB; anything above 1866MHz wouldn’t boot, but 1866 worked just fine.

Thanks for the response! I'll keep it at 1600 since the performance gap is minimal.
