I intend to install the Gigabyte B760 DS3H AX DDR4 board (the full-size B760 ATX version, not the compact model) alongside an i3 processor. I also aim to upgrade the CPU later to something like an i5 13600K or 14600K since those K-series chips offer better performance and clock speeds for Adobe applications. My goal is to keep the CPUs running at their rated speeds—around 5 GHz or higher—without overheating issues, especially with the power delivery from this board. I won’t be pushing the processors beyond their limits, just letting them naturally boost during gaming or heavy tasks like rendering. The B760 DS3H AX should work well with an i5 13600K without throttling, as long as the TDP stays within its 180W limit when not overclocked. I’m not planning to use Z690 or Z790 boards because I don’t intend to overclock and because the available options here are significantly more affordable, despite the price gap of about $80.

You're looking for recommendations on where to buy fishing rods. There are many options available, and some popular choices include the B760M PG Riptide. Are you checking local stores or online retailers?

Thank you for your input. I understand your concerns about the VRM ratings and price range. Just to clarify, I should consider whether VRM alone accurately reflects power delivery potential, especially when comparing different models. If you think there’s more to it than the phase count, feel free to share other options you’ve found in Pakistan that might suit your needs better.

It serves as a sign, yet it doesn’t capture everything. Various elements play a role, making a 4-phase setup impressive while a 16-phase one may fall short. The top VRM for LGA 1700, the Z690/Z790 Apex (Encore), technically functions as an 8-phase VCore. Several aspects influence this design, including the components used in the VRMs and the heat sink layout, as well as inductor types, motherboard PCB details, and the tuning process itself. It’s also worth noting that phase count isn’t the sole factor—power stage numbers matter more. For instance, the Apex might actually have 8 phases but includes 24 power stages within its VCore VRM. Many boards mistakenly list power stages as phase counts, which is technically incorrect. In reality, this isn’t a major concern unless you’re optimizing for efficiency. If you’re checking online stores, consider which manufacturer offers detailed specs so you can verify accurately.

Thanks so much for the detailed info. I will try to gain a deeper understanding of it. Seems like I really need to learn a lot about this stuff xD Thanks man that would be great https://www.gtstore.pk/category/motherbo...ge=5&sort= This is the link to the site from where I am shopping. As you can see the motherboard I mentioned, Gigabyte B760 DS3H AX is listed on this page and costs PKR 40,500/-. So this is the price segment we are looking for. Its between 35k-45k. If you find something better for a bit more thats fine, but I will certainly not like to touch 50k price for a motherboard. Also you will need to open the individual product page to check if that motherboard is in stock. The site has a lot of motherboards still listed with old pricings and are mostly out of stock.

I noticed only a few boards matching your budget were available. The B760 DS3H seems like the top choice. A B660M Gaming X would be ideal at that price, though it's currently out of stock. If the VRM becomes excessively hot, adding a 40mm fan and securing it with a zip tie to the heat sink usually resolves the problem.

Thanks for checking it out. The i3 should work fine on this board right now. We might need to wait and test it with a 14th gen i5 to be sure.
