I understand the pin count variation, but I'm aiming for a 5820K build. I'm considering getting the die mate X from der8auer, though it only lists compatibility with Skylake and Kaby Lake X series CPUs. From what I've found online, these processors appear to be similar in size. Just confirming the details.

You should verify carefully—those chips seem permanently attached. Installing it won’t be as straightforward as using a desiccant bag.

It's a soldered IHS plate. This may be why the Diemate is for SkyLake and KabyLake processors which are not soldered and also the plate is a little different. Not sure it'll fit into the diemate machine properly.
