No, there isn't a new Assassin's Creed yet. It's still the same series. Rogue is a different game altogether.

March is arriving soon. Did you know Unity wasn't even launched six months ago?
Sorry for the missed timeline. I should also note that I haven’t tried the PC or console versions of AC:U because my Samsung can only handle Eurotruck Sim2 at best, and even then it needs higher settings. My mom’s 2011 laptop is a real challenge—running a dual-core i5 is pretty rough. Ubisoft has fixed the Unity issues, but I think they’re not prioritizing it since PC users are fewer than console players. Maybe they could have taken more time and made a solid port. Optimization could help, but I’d still support the game despite its flaws. It’s mostly minor glitches, and I’m used to dealing with that kind of situation.
I appreciated Rogue, for its sake... I posted a review elsewhere as well. It had some of the worst bugs I've ever seen in an Assassin's Creed title. Having played the series from the start, I've rarely struggled with the character failing to act as intended or encountering game-breaking issues that forced me to save my progress, like I did with Rogue. On a few tries, I'd attempt a jump I thought was possible, only to hit an invisible barrier and fall. Sometimes I'd become trapped in hiding spots—like piles of leaves—and couldn't leave, needing to restart the game. There were also moments where I'd chase an NPC that never appeared, and even after eliminating all nearby enemies, the mission would just drift away. Rogue is definitely one of the most flawed entries in the series. Even though I'm not familiar with Unity, it might not be the worst of them. I liked Rogue mainly because it felt like a continuation of Black Flag, but that's about it. Overall, I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. It's only for those who really want to relive the pirate experience again.
