I saved 60 GB, but everything disappeared. This tool is really bad. My computer froze while downloading, so I ended it abruptly and the download went back on without issues. When I paused, closed the app (it warned about canceling installs) and shut the PC down, the download restarted from scratch. It’s super inconsistent. EDIT: why do most recent comments have just one post?
I saved roughly 85 GB of GTA V yesterday and then paused the PC, hoping to finish the download later like Steam does. But in the morning all the files disappeared. My internet plan only allows 300 GB per month, so I used up about a third of it. Now I can’t download anything else because I’ll run out of quota for other programs. At least I won’t have to spend time on this game this month.
I saved roughly 70 GB out of 90 GB and had to turn off my PC. The next day I tried again, but when I closed it down once more, my progress disappeared. Now everything is at 0, and I’m still downloading GTA V. Sorry about the English, I’m not from the USA.
Well, I was about to restart my PC when I stumbled upon this discussion. (Yes, GTAV too.) Luckily I didn’t. If they’re planning to market games as large as 90GB, they should let users pause downloads and pick them up later. They seem to understand that Windows often shuts down at inconvenient moments, don’t they? This is my first time using the Epic Games launcher, and it’s clear the experience over the past day has been quite frustrating. At least I can’t grumble too much about the throttling; my internet speed is so poor that even a 2Mb/s upload is barely usable.
