I noticed BF4 + Premium at a solid discount during Black Friday, but I haven’t purchased it yet since I don’t have my rig. I’m curious—are many players using DLC maps on PC? The dlcs seem excellent based on what I’ve heard, but only if there’s active participation. What’s your take on this situation?
The primary reason Final stand maps are more prevalent now is the DOGtag search for the Phantom Bow, which will likely decrease over time as things return to normal once more players unlock it. In Australia, there are numerous DLC-driven servers, along with rotating servers that offer both vanilla maps and DLC content—some specialize in one type of DLC while others focus on vanilla maps combined with specific releases. There’s usually an option for everyone. The only gap I notice is the absence of certain game types like Chainlink or Air Superiority, though this might vary by region. Overall, it’s definitely worth aiming for.
In my view, the Final Stand stands out as the top choice among map packs.
premium here, yes bf4 at discount is a great choice, full price...not so much. DLC maps are very nice imo. lotta vehicules, ground, air and water. Final Stand is new so I don't have alot of playtime in these maps, but they are nice imo, reminds me of my home, cold and snowy.
I don't care about BF4, and I don't even play that game. BF3 is fine
Game is broken and will never be resolved since the tickrate is fixed. The only solution would be for DICE to completely redesign the engine and increase the tickrate, which is currently capped at 30hz due to pressure from Microsoft and Sony to minimize costs on consoles. The phantom program and Easter egg content are just tactics by DICE and EA to divert attention from the game's issues until a new title is released, after which they’ll distance themselves from BF4. I had it removed from my Origin account—feeling relieved after a year of frustration and DICE’s misleading statements.
