For exploring surroundings, it would be helpful. You could lift your head above the cover for a clearer view. If they executed it properly, it would be quite pleasant. The Vive offers great head-tracking for racing and horror titles. You wouldn't have to move much for it to function well.

You can still play a lot of teleporting in games like Cod Lol, even if you're moving around a lot.

I didn't mention teleporting. I'm talking about sitting at a keyboard or using a controller. They could handle Rocksmith (Ubisoft game) and add a gun accessory for VR if needed for movement and shooting. Arma might actually be fun in this scenario.

It's unclear what you're asking about—maybe you meant to ask about the purpose of VR or why it might feel uninteresting. Let me know how I can help!

I'm not used to driving a convertible while standing up. Some games perform better when you sit down, like "The Visitor," because you don't move much in the game. This applies to racing and flight as well, unless "Flight Simulator: Airline Stewardess" releases this spring. You can choose a neutral position and walk forward while enjoying the scenery in adventure games instead of moving diagonally. In stealth games, you can peek around cover without having to press keys with your fingers. VR headsets offer comfort for seated use, as seen in projects like Project CARS, where turning around is smooth and free. The downside of room-scale is the length of the game; it would be hard to stay seated for ten hours, but a seated experience makes it more comfortable and less tiring (though I appreciate the exercise).
