I rarely hear about VR anymore, and the games are decent at first but quickly become repetitive if you keep playing the same five titles. Recently, I've been using my Vive to watch more YouTube content instead of gaming. Are there any upcoming games planned for next year? I’m aware a zombie game is scheduled for the sixth month, so I might end up getting that one.
It's true, VR is still emerging for AAA games, which means it usually takes several years before major titles launch.
I've enjoyed a rail shooter titled like ghosts and something about rail shooters. It also involves a lot of running around, feeling like a jump scare horror game. I’ll admit it’s quite intense—scary enough to make me think so right away when you switch on the Vive in a new setting.
It sounds like you're excited about special deliveries and have a fond memory of paperboys. That's a great way to think about it!
I'm not confident it will ever gain widespread acceptance with most AAA games. In the best-case scenario, considering current costs, technology, and full support, it's hard to imagine people taking the time. 3D TV might fail because people won't want glasses or helmets that cause motion sickness. It seems unlikely unless hardware becomes smaller, cheaper, and more powerful. I'm not sure I'd be interested either...
VR is incredible, I spent an eight-hour session and never experienced any nausea or discomfort from the headset, though I was concerned about that before trying it. Once I got a Vive, those issues disappeared. I think AAA games require a high-end system—some low-quality titles still struggle with my 390.
