I'm lucky to have managed to secure GPUs that match my budget and preferences, so I haven't bought any new equipment yet. My original setup would have required an ASUS board because they offered the best confirmed ECC RAM support for consumer-grade AM5 chips. With the recent GN reports, I need to seriously consider whether I can still depend on ASUS for quality products and reliable service. https://old.reddit.com/r/truenas/comment...herboards/ The most detailed thread I found elsewhere doesn't mention any confirmed support from ASROCK, Gigabyte, or MSI. ASROCK and Gigabyte seem to have limited or no verified support, while MSI only has a few charitable reports. DDR5 EUDIMM with standard 5V consumer RAM is available: https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/serve...fered-dimm https://www.wiredzone.com/shop/product/1...eu48-10283 Hynix HMCG88MEBEA Memory 32GB DDR5 4800MHz UDIMM MEM-DR532L-HL01-EU48 Micron 32GB DDR5-4800 ECC UDIMM 2Rx8 CL40 Are there any (non-ASUS) AM5 consumer desktops with fully confirmed ECC?

I would also steer clear of Gigabyte.

Enhancing full ECC support introduces additional traces onto the PCB, which is an unwanted change.

Surprised by the RAM training CPU voltage around 1.35 and even more so on the settings that are being overwritten silently. The UI/interaction feels like it switches between different menus with various storage formats or areas, affecting only the hardware registers and not all possible value representations. Validation filters in the menus differ—like allowing slight under-voltage adjustments when not in manual OC menus, but enforcing consistent storage and values.

Absolutely, another full-sized PCIe X16 port exists, though it might be limited by certain card designs. Your concern seems valid.
