I'm interested in exploring AROS as a Linux user. Eric W Schwartz is the only person who brings Amiga and AROS into my awareness. Seeing the short videos about AROS makes me think of a strange mix of Mac OS and Windows that somehow looks better than both. How does using Amiga and AROS—or similar Amiga-like OSes—differ from Linux? I’d love for AROS to have a software manager like Ubuntu, allowing its own unique apps in free repositories.

Likely hardware and software assistance will be needed. Your discussion focuses on devices with older specific hardware configurations. https://aros.sourceforge.io/documentatio...on.php#id1 https://www.amigaos.net/content/72/supported-hardware

It’s unlikely I’d use a daily Amiga OS daily, falling between GNU+Linux and templeOS in terms of available software, but significantly nearer the latter.
