No, the Ryzen 7950x supports both integrated graphics (iGPU) and discrete graphics (dGPU).
I checked the BIOS settings on the Asus X670e Hero, even updating to the latest version from Asus' site, but I couldn't locate an option to enable the iGPU for the 7950X. Some users claim they can't disable it, yet a BIOS update didn’t resolve the issue. I need the iGPU to connect additional monitors since my current GPU is fully utilized, and I no longer have room for my T600, which was the reason for upgrading from the Ryzen 5950x. Any advice or details would be very helpful.
On my gigabyte board it’s fully activated and functions normally out of the box. There doesn’t seem to be anything obvious to disable, though I might have overlooked something. I had to install a Windows driver, which I tested in 3dmark while the 3080 remained inactive. 5fps timespy extreme lol
After deleting the dGPU, the problem turned out to be related to CSM. The 7950x restricts the iGPU when using an old bootloader.
