The 3600X offers better value compared to the 2600X in many cases, with improvements under 10%. I’d opt for the 3600 and boost its settings, but I’ve picked the 2700 which delivers similar performance at a lower cost.

There seems to be an issue when your 2600x resolution struggles with the 2070 model at 1440p.

Everything relies completely on the title. And your description of "fine" isn't clear. This post is quite outdated.

In fully CPU-intensive scenarios the improvement is near 15% faster with the 3600. However, for gaming you rarely hit 100% CPU usage, so the gain will be less noticeable and differ between titles. Around 10% is a reasonable estimate.

I discovered quite a bit, so I’m planning to just say it and install a 3950x on my B450 motherboard. Let’s pretend everything works fine.

The B450 board can manage a 3950x easily. Its VRM performs adequately, and I think the 3950x won’t be significantly more power-hungry than the 2700x.
