The calculations work out correctly. 1000 LEDs operating at 5A each, with a 5V supply. The 2A header can accommodate up to 200 LEDs.

Wow, this seems unusual. Is it typical for Gigabyte boards or are you seeing something rare? It doesn’t look like a top-end model priced at $200.

It's unclear what standard applies to typical amp ratings for most boards. My setup is a 3A 12V with capacity for 3 meters and 60 LEDs, using the ROG B450-I.
