Hello. I was swapping my CPU. I have an i5-6500. I acquired a used i7-7700K. The VGA indicator stayed lit on my motherboard. I’m using the Asus Z170-A board. I chose to reinstall my old CPU just to verify everything was fine. It worked. When I switched to the i7, the same issue persisted. After replacing the RAM slots, the DRAM light still activated. I changed the RAM placement again and the same problem continued. When I installed the i7 back in, only the DRAM light lit up. I purchased some new RAM that was certified and it remained unchanged.
