I found a great offer on eBay for the 4GB Kingston D51272J91 ECC RAM and I’m interested in purchasing it. On Intel’s website they mentioned support for ECC RAM, but I wasn’t entirely confident about compatibility, so I reached out for confirmation. Would this 4GB Kingston ECC RAM fit with the Intel DX58So motherboard? The processor will be the X5675.

ECC RAM is available, though ECC registered memory is unlikely. Still, because the controller is built into the CPU, it should likely function. It might be worth buying one to test—prices for a 4GB stick are usually under $5. If you don’t have X5675, consider getting an X5680 instead, as it’s more expensive.

It's a Registered ECC model, typically found on Xeon processors or compatible chipsets.
