Can I obtain an i7-3770k in an OptiPlex 3010 (not SFF)? Some users on Discord mentioned it might only work with second-generation CPUs. It does have an 115 socket, though. I’ve seen discussions about people getting an i7-3770 there too.

It seems likely. The 3010 model uses the H61 chipset, and according to Intel's official site it should support an i7-3770 processor unless Dell has disabled it via the BIOS or through some other questionable method. Probably they didn’t disable it.
