I tried fixing it myself by connecting the disk to my PC, but it didn’t work. I’m really stuck because this is my mom’s HDD in her laptop and I can’t fix it myself. Please help me get around this issue so I can still use the drive.

I’ve done my best to help, but I’ve already tried updating everything, including drivers. Sad to see it go. Goodbye for the HDD.
