Hello! Your Ryzen 5 5600X arrived with a minor bend in one pin. The PSU delivery has been delayed by two weeks, so you won’t be able to test it within the 14-day return period. Can someone with experience let me know if this issue will affect performance or if it should work fine? I’m not planning to attempt any repairs—it’s risky and this is my first build. It wouldn't make sense to try to fix it later. The CPU is still new, so replacing it now would be best.
During my time fixing computers, I frequently encountered bent pins made of copper. Simply work carefully and gently, and you should be okay.
I'm sending it back according to Applefreak's advice. I'm unsure how often bent-pin processors are received, but as a buyer I should expect a good product, particularly if it comes new. Thanks everyone!
