I'm still dealing with a GT630 DDR3 2GB for seven years. I once bought an RTX 2080 Super-X570-Ryzen 7 3700X with 32GB RAM, thinking it was the best option. After learning about the RTX 3000 series, I decided to upgrade immediately because I'm very competitive and want the latest features. Unfortunately, the release date kept getting pushed back, which made me really frustrated. Eventually, I ended up damaging my mouse and keyboard, and my PC would crash whenever it lagged. I needed a solid gaming setup for games like RoboCraft and Team Fortress 2 for a while. But then I had a plan. I'd start with a budget gaming PC—32GB RAM, 3200MHz CL16, Asus Prime B450M-K motherboard, and a 512GB SSD. I heard the B450 board supports Ryzen 4000 chips. My goal was to run these games smoothly in Full HD, and once the Ryzen 4000 arrived, I'd swap my old Ryzen 3 3200G for something better like Ryzen 5 4600 or Ryzen 7 4700X, which supports the new chip without overclocking. I just wanted a stable system that lets both CPU and GPU perform well without slowing things down. If this works, please help me out!

It should work perfectly. You might need to upgrade the BIOS to enable compatibility with the new Ryzen 400 series, which should cover it. The best approach is to wait until the product is released and verify motherboard support.

In theory it should function but it ranks near the bottom among B450 boards, offering similar power density to an A320. I’d limit it to no more than six cores, such as the 3600 or possibly the 4600 if it remains a six-core model and doesn’t double its power draw compared to the 3600.

Technically it should fit fine, but i'd wait for the specification to be updated to say that it can natively support the new Ryzens, it might just need a BIOS update.

You started with an X570 and now aim for the most affordable B450 model, hoping it will function smoothly with an upcoming CPU that hasn't been announced yet.

XMG says these B450 boards can work with the Ryzen 4000 after some upgrades. I’m planning to hold off for about two weeks before purchasing, but my current PC is so poor in performance I’m not ready to wait any longer.

You're looking for a more affordable motherboard that still handles your gaming needs well. For your RTX 3080 and Ryzen processors, an entry-level X570 would work, but you might need to make some compromises. It’s about balancing performance with budget if you want to keep up with those games for several years.

Some models may struggle with Ryzen 4000s, while 300s and 400s could face limitations. The X570 might not handle the ACPU and B550 effectively, and this layout problem can be resolved with the B550.

The question is about the CPU and motherboard compatibility. There are currently no motherboards designed for the Ryzen 4000 processor. You might have been mistaken about availability.

X570 is compatible with 4000s, though one of the seven CPUs requires updated tracing on the motherboard released after X570's release. The B550 model includes a fresh trace, which aligns with what I understood from the deleted live stream—helping to steer clear of many discussions about what to say.
