I purchased this router based on a suggestion, but upon checking the OpenWRT website, I noticed it doesn’t support openWRT and the ASUS model isn’t listed. Did you overlook something important?

It seems like you're asking about a piece of equipment from a microcenter and wondering if it's worth recycling or if it's just waste.

I aimed to customize and optimize the device using OpenWRT features.

It seems like the device is likely working fine, unless you're certain you need OpenWRT. You might also be able to exchange it.

Facing issues with basic Wi-Fi security on the device. Need to disable WPS. I have a reference list somewhere. Port forwarding in the firewall isn’t required, but setting up a VPN would be helpful. Turning off the SSID wasn’t an option either (it’s mandatory two weeks a year in my area).
