Yes, it functions with both options. However, I wouldn’t pursue the X version unless it’s close to $10 or less compared to the 2600. That’s the main distinction (a bit more cooling and factory overclock).

This board can handle up to 105W of CPU as stated in the specifications. The 2600X uses a 95W rated chip.

Great! Here’s a rephrased version of your message:

Excited! This screenshot shows the UEFI during my PC setup—my old monitor in the closet for a whole year... haha.

I just checked the ASRocks site... I thought MB was limited to 65W chips. Thanks again!

The 2600x with PBO active consumes 105W during stress tests, which may cause the VRM to overheat, though it will still function properly. Normal operation should not exceed this power draw.

Consider your options carefully—walking away might save you money if the alternative item is better suited.

The HDV can manage a six-core chip without an OC. The HDV R4.0 wouldn't fit there, not even close to an Athlon. If you're considering this path, I'd opt for a 2600x setup with a small negative voltage offset and skip the rest. Looking at the Ryzen 1600AF makes sense as a more affordable alternative.

If you're in the US, check this link: https://www.amazon.com/AMD-Processor-Wra...582&sr=8-1. It's a newly released model named Wraith, actually a rebranded 2600 with identical performance. Priced at $85. Note: it's currently out of stock—wait if you can.
