Linux compatibility with x86 hardware is excellent. I haven’t encountered any mobile devices that don’t work with Linux (except possibly those using Microsoft Secure Boot). There have been some audio problems, but the solutions were straightforward. GPU support for Linux has been inconsistent at best, though it seems to be getting better. I usually run headless setups via SSH and don’t worry much about GPU drivers.
