According to what I understand, most devices and systems are compatible with Linux. Certain smartphones have already begun supporting Ubuntu-based phones.

You're able to use almost any GPU across different Unix-based systems, though I've noticed that the newest Ubuntu release only fully supports my GTX650 Ti. For Mac OS X, iOS, Linux distributions, and Android, Unix remains the top choice for hardware compatibility. By the way, Unix is still the leading platform for working with hardware.
