I've recently replaced my graphics card and power supply, but still face booting problems. All fans are active and RGB lights work, yet the motherboard only displays a standard green "BOOT" indicator. The monitor responds to wake me from sleep but doesn’t show any video output. I’ve reset everything to the previous components and haven’t managed to get the system up. I’ve used both new and old power supplies, checked all cables, and even swapped RAM and CPU slots. The CMOS battery was replaced and reinserted after 5 minutes, but nothing changed. I’ve also tested different cables and tried running the PC with just one RAM stick. I don’t know my BIOS version and have no integrated graphics, so those aren’t likely causes. There’s a possibility the motherboard got damaged during the upgrade. Any advice or insights would be greatly appreciated.
650W could be insufficient for your 3080. Verify if your BIOS is compatible with the new configuration. BIOS might also be damaged. Note: Here’s the Asus QVL guide for your board. Confirmed the tests with various power supplies and components. The setup with the 3080, 650w and 850w remains stable. The 2070 PSU worked successfully before, but issues persist now. The system has functioned perfectly for about two years, though I’m uncertain if BIOS corruption is the cause.
