Focusing on detailed game files. Since Guild Wars 2 comes with just one 18GB file for the game, I intend to share a copy with a friend who needs it, as they’re struggling here. I’ll divide it into sections. My friend is concerned about quality loss from compression.

Ensure no data is lost when making a split RAR archive. Review the GW2 site for required files. An 18GB file is excessively big—likely unnecessary cache that doesn’t need copying.

Review the GW2 forum for details. The file .dat isn't providing any data—please share more about its location and name.

I'm confirming. The game's folder contained two items: an Exe file and a gw2.dat file.

You can place the game and the Gw2.exe file in the same directory to install it on multiple computers without re-downloading. Make sure to split the archive with WinRAR and share it with others.
