Your BIOS fan control and fan curve preferences will remain intact. You can choose whether to let SpeedFan override them or keep your original settings. Decide how you want your fans to behave based on your needs. Cheers, Ben.

It seems the BIOS adjustments remain unaffected—it merely replaces existing settings.

I checked the same issue about AI Suite 3 and wondered if it would connect to the BIOS. Your SpeedFan preferences should appear in the BIOS if the link exists.

Both rely on data from the motherboard’s PWM fan connectors. Your speedfan adjustments won’t appear in the BIOS. The BIOS details are unrelated to your actions within the operating system.

Only when AI Suite connects directly to BIOS does it manage everything. For other brands such as MSI, the fan control center is tied to BIOS settings. You can verify this by adjusting fixed speeds or matching curves and confirming identical configurations in BIOS.

AI Suite III integrates with the Bios to manage your audio preferences. The system determines which method to apply based on your current settings, ensuring compatibility and avoiding conflicts.

When AI Suite manages BIOS configurations or they're connected, the adjustments stay consistent across both systems. Modifying one alters the other as well. Without synchronization between AI Suite and BIOS, the latter takes precedence during operation within Windows.

It depends on the software and system configuration. SpeedFan can modify BIOS settings temporarily, but repeated use might affect stability. Always check compatibility before applying changes.

Yes. However, using a pre-made fan profile in the BIOS can cause problems. To avoid this, switch all fan settings to auto or default if you prefer software control.
