My system:
AMD Ryzen 7 7700
32GB DDR5 6000
Motherboard MSI PRO B650M-P (with BIOS update)
RTX 4070
I tried everything, the sound simply doesn't work.
The sound icon has an "X" on it and it says "No audio device connected".
I tried connecting speakers, headphones which work fine on other devices.
When I insert the audio jack into the integrated sound card, nothing happens. It's like being unplugged.
I even installed Windows 10 on my system. The problem persists.
Then I reinstalled Windows 11, same problem.
I installed all drivers from MSI website for my motherboard.
The sound completely stopped working a few days ago. Until then it worked fine but sometimes it didn't. After booting I had same problem but after restarting Windows it worked.
I have another annoying problem since I upgraded my PC. Sometimes Windows get stuck on booting (the rotating wheel stops). I think it finally boots into windows but I don't have display signal. When the sound worked I was able the hear the loading sound into Windows 11. I had the same problem when I tried Windows 10 for a short period of time.

Can the audio port be damaged ?
Is it possible there's something wrong with my CPU ?
It's really annoying using my PC without sound.
I have this printscreen from windows 10 but the problem it's identical in windows 11:

There are no speakers or headphones connected via the 3.5 mm audio jack to the built-in sound card. The device seems unresponsive, as if it wasn't properly connected.

Install the drivers' newest updates for Realtek Ant, then clean the remaining ones.

What is the purpose of the AMD High Definition Audio device in Device Manager? Did you use an AMD graphics card before switching to the RTX 4070? Use DDU to uninstall previous AMD audio drivers. Install chipset drivers for your motherboard, then add Realtek drivers for your board and also reinstall Nvidia drivers.

Tried it recently. It still doesn't function properly.
Fixed it, but the issue persists.
Everything seems to be malfunctioning.
Possibly a hardware issue.

Did you transfer the drive from a previous build when setting up this system?

The AMD driver is likely related to the IGP in the CPU which would allow audio output through that. It's not entirely clear what the other driver is linked to but the sound menu it looks like it's just a generic HDMI device driver which might be something Windows put in for your video card.
I'd suggest checking the BIOS and making sure that the audio device is enabled there and also double check the drivers in Windows to see what hardware that's linked to. If the BIOS shows enabled and Windows isn't showing a related driver then your onboard audio isn't working any longer.

In Device Manager it displays only "High definition audio device." All drivers with DDU in Safe Mode were removed. Realtek drivers were installed after rebooting. Attempted to install Legacy hardware via Device Manager and selected Realtek High definition audio, which triggered a BSOD: RTKVHD64.sys. https://imgur.com/a/SAqvcD3 View: https://imgur.com/a/SAqvcD3 Windows Troubleshooter indicates no device connected when the audio jack is plugged in.
