Hello, identical socket but varying chipset indicates you should upgrade to a Z170 or Z270 for the 7th generation, Z370 for the 9th, and Z390 for the 9th-gen. A new motherboard is required. For overclocking the 9600KF, a Z390 is recommended. You might also look into a 3600+B450 MSI MAX board.

Hello, identical socket but varying chipset indicates you should upgrade to a Z170 or Z270 for the 7th generation, Z370 for the 9th, and Z390 for the 9th-gen. A new motherboard is required. For overclocking the 9600KF, a Z390 is recommended. You might also look into a 3600+B450 MSI MAX board.
