Hello everyone, I'm a builder trying my hand at assembling again. I just finished putting together the components listed below. The first issue was receiving a slow-flashing red LED on the motherboard, which according to the ASUS ROG Strix 570i manual points to a CPU problem. Initially, I removed the cooler, re-seated the CPU, and reassembled everything. Now, when I power on the PSU or flip the power switch in the case, nothing happens. The only clue is that the audio LEDs on the back of the motherboard are lit, but they don’t give any further details. The documentation says my board is AMD 5-series compatible, so it should work without flashing if needed—even if it didn’t, I’d still see the CPU LED. After taking everything apart, I now have the motherboard, CPU, RAM, and cooler set up on a bench just to test them individually. I cleared the CMOS and tried booting using the power switch pins on the motherboard, but still got nothing. I’m unsure what to do next; I’m considering adding a graphics card or attempting a BIOS flash, but I feel really stuck. Any guidance would be super helpful. CPU model: Ryzen 9 5900X, Speed: 3.7GHz Cooler: Noctua NH-D12L (with two Noctua A12x25 PWM 120mm fans) Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix X570-I Gaming Mini ITX RAM: 2x 16GB DDR4-3200 Storage: Samsung 980 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 NVME Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 8GB Case: Cooler Master NR200P PSU: Corsair SF750 750W 80+ Platinum Additional fans: 2x Corsair AF120 120mm I’m at a loss and would really appreciate some advice.

I don't know the solution, but you might want to check the Tech Power Up forums—they’ve assisted others before.

It seems you'll probably require an updated BIOS for that processor. The device should allow flashing via USB. Refer to the user guide for specific steps.

I thought it might be true. It feels odd since the box cover advertised it as AMD 5 series ready. I’ll test it this evening.
