Starting to assemble my son's new gaming setup. Everything seems installed and I attempted to upload, but no signal appears on the monitor. The red LED on the MOBO shows the CPU isn't functioning. Anyone know if this model needs a BIOS update for the 3000 series Ryzen? Gigabyte mentions it doesn't, but I'm not sure what else might be required unless the CPU is completely dead. I plan to remove my 2700x from the system and test connectivity. I tried clearing the CMOS, but that didn’t help, and I also re-seated the CPU and stock cooler. Any other advice before considering a return to manufacturer?

Unless it does, and you're unlucky, is there another way to get the board without the CPU? Check if you can ask for or borrow a very cheap CPU that matches the motherboard's support limits. Try posting on forums or communities to see what works. If it appears online, update the BIOS accordingly. If not, it's probably not the CPU but rather a faulty motherboard.

I've attempted to G-Flash the BIOS, but accessing it remains difficult. The Q-Flash button on the back seems unresponsive. The jump drive cycles through a few flashes before halting, yet without entering BIOS I can't confirm updates are applied. I'm reaching out to Gigabyte for assistance, but I have no idea how long they'll take to respond.

It seems like a front panel connector might be faulty. I removed everything from the case and started with the bare minimum, which resolved the issue. I gradually added components until it stopped, then I connected the front panel HDD LED and Reset SW. I'm unsure if both parts are defective or just one, so I'll leave them unplugged for now.
