Hey everyone, I just purchased and saved Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. I was curious about whether it needed extra time to set up or install before I could start playing. Since I have mid-year exams, I want to make sure I’m ready without getting sidetracked from studying. Thanks!

You saved it through a download. If it's on Steam, then yes.

It works now. Just wait a short time after pre-loading the game. After that, Steam needs to finish some tasks before you can play.

Steam usually downloads an installer for the game. On the first run, it needs a few minutes to set up and verify your DirectX version. I don’t recall Shadow of Mordor doing this, but it’s possible. Just keep in mind that spending time there might take you away from gaming later.
