No screen display and cannot access safe mode. Windows 10
Hello. My issue seems unusual. I thought I resolved it but it keeps happening. The MB screen wouldn't display properly, preventing me from accessing BIOS when needed. I had to wait before entering BIOS. Safe mode wasn't reachable either, even after shutting down the PC repeatedly. After reinstalling Windows and formatting drives, the problem disappeared. However, when I updated to Windows 10 1709, it started again. Now only a partial clean install remains, with Origin, Steam, Battlenet, and Mozilla installed, but the same issues persist. I'm frustrated and worried about what might be causing these problems.
You're here, right? I see you're checking in. Do you have any ideas on how to resolve this?
Modern motherboards (from 2012 onwards) use UEFI, which eliminates the traditional BIOS display during startup. The standard screen between POST and the operating system is usually absent in UEFI mode. The MB boot manager is the sole boot method, and Windows Boot Manager should be the default. To reach other options—such as another OS, BIOS setup, safe mode—navigate through Windows by accessing the power menu (bottom right of login or Start), holding Shift, and selecting Restart. You’ll see "Please Wait" instead of a restart prompt, guiding you to a blue screen with various choices.
