I've experienced hardware updates requiring a restart to show properly. Are you using separate PSU cables for the GPU or connecting them in a chain? If not, please try using the three PSU cables individually. It would be helpful if you could test the GPU on another desktop.

You're connecting three separate cables, including one from the 16-pin port on your power supply because it only came with two 8-pin to 8-pin options. You mentioned you don't have another desktop.

I considered skipping the one with the 16pin slot and daisy chain version (just a guess). Make sure all connections are secure at the end. Also, do you know anyone who does this? Edited August 13, 2024 by leclod

You’ve checked all connections and power sources, yet the GPU remains inactive. Your friend’s setup might have sufficient power, so double-check their PSU compatibility with your 7900 XTX.
