I improved my board, CPU and SSD yesterday. Upon first startup I received the "fTPM/PSP NV corrupted" alert. I selected yes, which caused the screen to go dark and nothing displayed afterward. After several restarts I attempted the onboard video, and the system started normally. Before dismantling everything (which is difficult), I need confirmation that all components are correctly installed. My setup includes the top PCI slot for the GPU and the top two M.2 slots for my SSD (see attached diagram). Any recommendations? My board model is ASUS B650E-F, CPU 7800X3d, GPU 3080, 10Gb. My observations so far: TPM was disabled in BIOS via onboard video, but the card still doesn’t show up. Removing both drives didn’t help either. When using onboard video, the 3080 isn’t listed in Device Manager. I’m starting to suspect the card may be faulty, but I’d like alternative solutions before fully disassembling.

Thanks for the message. I needed to set my PCI slot to GEN 3 to make the graphics card function properly.

It's likely you should opt for a Gen 4 model if both your card and motherboard support it. Going to Gen 3 turns off certain features that newer games rely on for optimal performance.

The only difference is link speed, which makes less than a 2% difference in fps. Here is an analysis from kitguru: https://www.kitguru.net/components/graph...sis/all/1/ For an SSD it can make a big difference as the gen 4 throughput is double gen 3.
